Gardening
I am really intrested in gardening and so I hope to share information with you and tips I have picked up on the way. I like to grow vegetables and I also like doing the hanging basket and pots an the patio.

Vegetable tips on onions and garlic

Growing your own onions is really easy. You can plant them at two different times of the year in the autumn and in the spring. If you buy an onion set from the garden centre for about 99p that contains over 75 onions. If you plant each onion so only half is blow the soil each one and let them grow. When the leaves flop in the summer the onions are ready. Pull them but do not cut the roots or leaves off until just before uses. Leave them in the sun for a few days then you need to store them. I found the best way to store them is by put a thin rope up in your garage like a washing line and hang the onions on this by there leaves.

Garlic is also very easy to grow. Buy a bulb of garlic from the garden centre in autumn and break it in the little cloves plant each clove about 3 times its own death about 15cm apart. When the leaves die in the summer lift and leave to dry in the sun for a few days and hang on the washing line like the onions.

  Vegetable tips on Leeks

Leeks are very easy to grow. So some seeds in March to june in seed trays. In about July plant out close together to make small leeks. I plant them by digging a little trench and placing them in then putting the soil back. The are ready to pick about November onwards.

The eden project
I visited the Eden Project in the summer of 2001. I really enjoyed my visit. The centre consits of two big biomes (like greenhouses) the biggest on is the hot tropical one with the big lushus plants in. The other one is the more Meditrainum one with a dryer climate. The plants outside had not long been planted so they will become more spectular over time.
